
A graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems, Lillian, is the Projects Manager for the WomenConnect Challenge Project: “Gender-sensitive approach to connect the unconnected using Community Networks Models” – a project implemented by AFCHIX and aimed at building the capacities of women to establish and maintain community-based and owned telecommunications infrastructure and provide connectivity in form of internet access, to underserved communities in Senegal, Kenya, Morocco, and Namibia. In 2014, Lillian worked as the Projects Manager with an NGO in Kenya, to ensure access to ICT services in schools. She has over 7 years of experience in successfully implementing projects online, including a project which profiled 10 African Women in ICT as Role Models, with the aim of inspiring the young women already in the ICT and young girls into the ICT career. With her strength in Systems Analysis, Lillian is using her passion in techpreneurship to explore the potential of the internet to redefine the terms information access to academic resources, with the aim of promoting education accountability through students’ performance self-evaluation tool.
